Does anybody know anybody who once mentioned having a friend who was acquainted with a person who spoke of needing a best-practices search engine optimization consultant, or perhaps just a savvy LAMP developer (that's Linux on Apache with MySQL and PHP, if you didn't need to know)?

Because right now, I know just such a bloke who is available by the hour, but won't be for long, so this is a golden opportunity for a website owner to get it fixed up right (and right away), and for this, um, other person to pay the damn rent (right away).

If you know anybody, or are anybody (no offense), then PM me for links to this guy's credentials, because he doesn't want them posted here directly, due to the nature of the bizz.

Sorry if this is inappropriate here, especially without the ruse of a good story surrounding it like meat on a bony rib, but I understand time to be of the essence, and all due understanding is appreciated.

Print Story Existentaphobia
Diary
By rizzo (Sun Jan 17, 2010 at 11:08:21 PM EST) (all tags)
What's been on my mind lately, featuring whole-wheat little gems such as:

A relatively recent realization born out over the last couple of years is that I can perceive, almost indescribably and certainly without justice, the very hyperdimensional structure of my consciousness itself, and its shape, now well-known to me, pervades every process of my mind fractally to infinity in all directions, through every memory of every moment of every person and every object ever.

and, the arguably even more grammatically indulgent:

is it all a worthwhile means to some ultra-technological or extra-dimensional conscious escape of mortality ad infinitum, or are we just pissing in the cosmic wind before our meat-based consciousness-generating hardware inevitably rots into worm food?

Pull up a chair and do whatever you usually do to get ready for a deep-think, because if you think it's hard to read, well, just imagine how I must've felt trying to figure out how to explain it.

Oh, and it's pretty stuffed with links, some even carefully selected.

Enjoy!

Paco, officially the cutest chihuahua on the planet, has been at coordinates 0,0,0 of our little universe since we got him last summer.  Suddenly, sensors aimed at the center begin picking up a very slight but distinctive red shift... [ raw output inside ]

Lady Wifey and I will be in Boston on Saturday, which seems like a great excuse for a HuSi meetup.  How about lunch?

(Also, does Boston have an equivalent to a tkts booth where you can get same-day half-price theater tickets?)

Prose and poetry on the outer reflection of the inner struggles of a mildly desperate mind.  In a format by way of an inspiring brainstorm that sounded slightly better than this came out, but you'll get the idea.  Plus the crude poetry forms an even more crude, synchronized pictograph of itself.

Our puppy needs your help. He suffered a head trauma yesterday and is in very, very bad shape in a veterenary CCU in Albuquerque. Details in Lady Jane's diary here.

The swelling in his brain needs to go down right away before treatment can continue, but he's not responding to swelling reducers given to him since last night and we're not ready to give up on this wonderful little guy just yet because he's showing us that he's not ready to give up on the charmed little life we've given him for the past month.

Lady Jane and I are humbly requesting that any of you who practice qi gong or other energy healing, prayer, wicca, druidism, magick (no demonics, please) or anything else that involves the love/healing vibrations to please send some Pokito's way. We are so looking forward to introducing him to everyone coming to Boston, and he needs a miracle to make that happen.

If your remote healing practice is aided by visuals, please feel free to connect with the photos here.

Thank you. Dog bless.

I gotta start writing again. I left quite a scorchmark on HuSi's tighty-whiteys with that last epic, unsubstantiated rant that hit the queue at the urging of a certain crazyperson from crazypeopletown, TX who eats things with faces raised by people with faces he recognizes. Bigger, admittedly less-cute faces than iGrrrl's test subjects, even.

And enjoy the poll...

It was a year of travel. It was a hear of physical upheaval. It was a year of motorcycles.

A random, incomplete review with random, incomplete anecdotal details which in no way indicate the primary experience of the event, rather just my non-linear cottage cheese brain.

Print Story Attention Facebook Infidels
(heh... that gag would be getting old if it weren't so damned appropriate this time...)

Does everybody know this already about Facebook? If not, please check it out. Especially if you're a FB user, and super double-dog especially if you've given them any correct personal information.

I would highly recommend this Brainsturbator article on the topic. For that matter, I would highly recommend any Brainsturbator article.

If you feel like deep-digging on the subject, start by Googling facebook cia, where you'll find articles at such reputable establishments as Wired, ArsTechnica and the NZ Herlad.

And if that doesn't work up a nice paranoid lather, then you better read what New Scientist figured out about what the NSA is doing with MySpace. Just don't talk about it to your friends as long as the battery is still in your mobile phone.

I've already said too much...

First of all, why the hell do you live out in that dogforsaken cactus jungle? Are breathtaking landscapes and sunsets really worth the complete absence of green things, cultural diversity, and naturally-running potable water? Are you insane?

Second, I've decided to spend four precious days of my life over an even more precious and rare thing called a weekend in Oppenheimer's own backyard, Las Cruces, Nuevo Mexico between the 9th and 12th of this month, so I can cavort amongst the chili roasteries, chain restaurants and big-box retailers with darling Lady Jane between her two consecutive work weeks there.

Since LJ gets a rental car from work for the weekend, and there doesn't appear to be much to do in Las Cruces, we thought it might be cool to have a HuSi meetup somewhere within driving range. Austin is about an 8-hour drive across the Great Nation of Texas, which is kinda long, but I don't see a lot of cool places to meet in between.

Any thoughts?

Lady Jane and I tried to high-five each other on the couch due to an unnamed web-related mutual accomplishment, and failed 2-out-of-3 times in making a successful palm-slap.

She said it's all me.  Like a fart in an elevator, she just knows.

Since Sunday March 13, 2005, I have undergone intense change. Personal growth is a continuous, lifelong journey (at least I suspect it should be if you're doing it right), and I have covered a great many miles of that blessed sojourn in the two-odd years since I used to write here regularly. I have been strongly encouraged to write here again, and I think it's a great idea.

Read on to learn the true power of intention, and why you should be careful about exactly what you wish for.

I will leave this up indefinitely, as my bandwidth isn't metered and the site has a small footprint. Let me know if anything looks busted and I'll do my best to fix it. I've never used this wiki platform before, so don't expet I know what I'm doing!
